do not stand at my grave and weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

Thank You

Dear Major Roger Clemens,
Thank you for your service as a Tactical Aircraft Pilot (Various.) December has begun, along with all the preparations. It is so important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

This Man is My Father

I remember having nightmares of his plane crashing before he was ever deployed to Vietnam. When he died, I was seven years old. My brother was five.
The fact that we were so young when he was killed leaves a great number of questions and not many answers. He was trained on B-52s. Why he was flying a 4D Phantom is still a mystery, as is the reason his plane went down just three miles short of the runway in Thailand.
I am still upset about the way the military that served were treated. Many of them didn't get a choice. My father chose to serve his country. We will forever be grateful for his service. However, not knowing him leaves a hole.
