I remember...

T. Clayton was a member of my platoon in the 173rd. He was back in the rear at Uplift while the rest of the platoon was on an operation when he was killed. I don't remember the reason he wasn't with us in the field during that time. I do remember though that he was a kind and gentle soul. Tears as I write this 55 years later...
