Thank You
Dear Col William Clark,
Thank you for your service as a Tactical Aircraft Pilot (Various.) December has begun, along with all the preparations. It is so important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Neighbor
As I recall from many years ago, Bill, who lived across the street from my family, was over the height
Limit for at Air Force pilot. He would come over and ask my mother if he could borrow my young
Brother to carry on his shoulders when he ran with the intent of compressing his spine. He ultimately passed his physical and became an American hero. I know that his terrible loss deeply affected his mother Amy Clark and sister Pat. I remember a handsome, kind young man who fought fir hus dream of joining the Air Force.

Neighbor growing up and secret crush.
As an airline hostess for TWA flying military charters to Vietnam in the mid ‘60s, we had a layover in Okinawa. Our TWA crew went to the Officers Club for dinner at Kadena Air Force base. While sitting in the lounge area waiting to go in for dinner this tall, handsome officer came walking across to me from the far side of the room and asked “Are you Jeanne O’Connell from La Grange”. I replied that I certainly was and asked if he was Bill Clark and he replied, that indeed he was. Here we are on the other side of the world, who would guess I’d run into my neighbor. Bill was such a great guy, I admit I had a secret crush on him when I was a teen and regretted that he was older than me. God Bless you , Bill Clark and thank you for your service! I know you’ve earned your angel wings.
