Paratroopers never die, they just fade away...

I didn't know Vincent Allen Clark, but I discovered him while visiting the 82nd Airborne Museum located on Fort Bragg (soon to be Fort Liberty) North Carolina with my Airborne son. I am here to let anyone who comes this way that Vinny was a Paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne. He was amongst the best of the best despite his demise. I appreciate his service, his sacrifice and that of his grieving family. I can't even imagine what Vinny and they have gone through. Just know that there are some of us that support, believe and appreciate America's men and women in uniform, no matter the branch or MOS. Rest in peace Vinny. You were more than just a memory. You are etched in stone forever to never be forgotten.

Me and the Beagle stopped by to see you today and say hi on this faithful day. I can't believe you have been gone for 54 years. Seems like yesterday when I got the letter I wrote you back cause you had left us. I think about you often and have your name from the wall framed and hangs in my office. Save me a place up there. Miss you Brother.

Memorial Day Visit

Hi Vinny,
We are thinking of you this Memorial Day. This is the Day to remember you guys and gals that gave your life for this Country. I stopped by and said hello and talked a while to you at your beautiful resting place. I brought my Beagle with me. He enjoyed the shade under the tree you are buried. RIP my old friend. I will see you on the other side.
