I am one of your "Bulldog" cadets that graduated in May 1967. We learned a lot from you and that helped me and your other senior cadets do well as Army officers. All of us served honorably in Vietnam and beyond. I owed you a debt of gratitude and I have repaid it going forward by taking care of my soldiers throughout my Army career. I was greatly saddened to learn of your death. Thank you for your leadership example, your service and your sacrifice.

Then-SGT Amos was one of my ROTC instructors when I was a senior cadet. He was a wealth of knowledge and provided good advice for us cadets with Vietnam in our future. I was in the officer basic school at Fort Benning when I learned of his death. This was a sobering event that served to me work harder. I am grateful for what he did for us.
