Correction?
I left the 1/18th almost a year before Clark, who was listed as a member of E Company, was killed. I am not aware of there being a Company E in the 1/18th Infantry Battalion. There were only 4 companies in the battalion when I left in November 1967. (A, B, C, D). D Company had just been added in July of 1967. I know of another KIA (Freppon) listed as being a member of E company when actually he was in the newly formed D Company. Could the Army records have made the same mistake with Clark?

Remember
I have been on Doug’s site many times. He was a great guy & neighbor. He had the best cars. Again thank you for the ultimate sacrifice. I have been to the wall in DC & did a rubbing. You are still missed by many of us. God Bless. Love
