Great Friend and classmate
I attended St Wenceslas Grade School with Barry. He was smart and funny. We walked down Arch Street everyday as I lived about 8 houses from the school. His mother would pick him up in front of my house and drop him off on the way back. I regretfully found out what occurred to him and Michael Hrutkay, another classmate. Both young men with good character. Thank you Barry and Michael for your service. It's been more than 50 years and I think fondly of the time we spent growing up together.

Not Just a boy next door
Barry lived down the street. He was a good friend to my older brother. He was my crush. Barry was handsome and smart. I remember playing baseball in the street at dusk with Barry and all the kids in the neighborhood. It was a joyful carefree time. Barry was a standout. His family should be proud.
