THANK YOU
Dear Sp4 William Clancy,
Thank you for your service as a Combat Engineer. This is the month that we remember all those who have passed-on. We remember you. It is so important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Another Hemy Park friend and neighbor
I was a neighbor of Billy Clancy. I was one of the "little kids" at Hemenway Park and he was one of the "big kids" when we met. He was a great athlete. He would tip us generously when we got to go to the store for the big kids for tonics. I always looked up to him. I was an altar boy when he died in Vietnam. I was totally crushed. I remembered how sad it was at Mulry's funeral home at the wake and then at the funeral at St. Ann's. It all made a profound impression on me. I visited the wall in Washington many years later and cried when I saw his name. I will always regard Billy Clancy as what he was -- An American Hero.
