Thank you.
Thinking of you today as we remember all the fallen. I wish I had gotten to know you better while we were in high school. I am eternally grateful to you. Rest in peace, brave soldier.

Remembering You 2022
Thinking of you this coming week as the names of the fallen will be read out loud at the D.C. Vietnam War Memorial. I am sorry you did not survive and will always be grateful to you, dear classmate of BNI 1968.

From your LT
You and a friend had just joined our platoon – 2nd platoon, A Co., 4/21, Americal – a few weeks earlier as transfers from another unit, so we unfortunately didn’t have much time together. But we all immediately liked and respected you. You got along great with everyone and willingly humped the heavy stuff as our machine gunner. When we hit the booby trap, you unfortunately took the brunt of the blast. As the Medivac took off with you and several others, we all hoped you’d pull through… When my tour ended and I got back to The World, and felt ready (much later), I visited The Wall and found you – certainly not where I wanted to… Rest in Peace, and may our world please find more peace.
