Leaving Edwards Air Force Base, Good bye Major
I served at Edwards along with Major Amesbury prior to his PCS to SEA. He rode his dirt bike to my rifle range the day he applied for worldwide transfer which meant Viet Nam. He knew that his tour would best serve his country and family as Mojave desert service was not desirable. I am Sgt Robert Marino who had the HONOR of serving with Major as well as later with Col Buzz Aldrin at Edwards.

Found A Bracelet
I am a US Army veteran (2009-2015). Recently as a civilian I was cleaning out a garage full of a ton of random stuff, mostly junk. Among it was this bracelet. I knew nothing of where it was from or who it belonged to. I couldn't let it be thrown away. I kept it and today finally tracked down who this bracelet was honoring.
I am honored to keep Maj Amesbury Jr's memory alive.
Godspeed sir.
I also want to thank all of our Vietnam veterans for their service to our great nation. You deserve so much more credit than you ever got. May you all find peace, you deserve it.
