Dear Mr. Childress(what we forgot to mention)
Mr. Childress, I also would like to thank you for your service. I’ve heard so much about you. My grandfather was also a combat medic/field medic and always kept you in his heart. I promise you will never be forgotten. Let God hold you in his hands and give you peace.
Sincerely and love,
J.B. and S.P.

Dear Mr. Childress
Dear Mr. Childress,
I am the granddaughter of someone that you've done so much for. My grandfather was in Vietnam with you, you were in boot camp together and became friends. I thank you, Mr. Childress, you recited the 91st Psalm to my grandfather when you both departed. I thank you, Mr. Childress, you've meant so, so much to my grandfather. At my Grampy's funeral, we sang "On Eagles Wings" and my cousins read the 91st Psalm. I played Taps after the 21 Gun Salute and I hope you know it was also for you. You meant so, so much to my Grampy. I hope you know that I owe so much to you. Mr. Childress, thank you. My Grampy loved you so much and there was never a time he never thought about you. He considered you a close close friend. Thank you, Mr. Childress.
Sincerely and with love,
J.B. and S.P.
