Dear Ssgt David Chavez,
Thank you for your service as an Armor Reconnaissance Specialist. It is Veterans' Day. Thank you for your service. This is the month that we remember all those who have passed-on. We remember you. It is so important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

I have heard so much about you David Cruz Chavez that I feel I know you I married into your family with Fred Carbajal Sr. I knew your parents and all your siblings in our home we have a faded photograph of you my husband talks about you with kind words he also represent you at the candle light ceremony with so much honor to you rest in peace .

Thank you to everyone for your kind words. David was so young when he was killed. Such a great tragedy. He is a true hero in our family, and I thank you so much for remembering him and his sacrifice. It means a lot to us. I would.to be in contact with anyone still alive who knew him, and if anyome has any photos I would greatly appreciate it.
