Richard and I had the same Dad, but another mother. I remember little of him as a kid. Then in 1966 he was put into the ground. Wish we could have had a few adult moments together.

He was my friend
KIA 54 years ago today! We were in the same platoon and I have a few photos of him I would like to get to,any surviving relatives. I'm 74 years old so time is running out out. Post here and it will alert me. He was a good guy.

Bronze Star Medal Award
PFC Richard C Amato was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for Valor for his exemplary courage under fire. He served as an Infantryman, Airborne Qualified, and was assigned to A Co, 1st Bn, 503rd Infantry, 173rd Airborne Brigade.
