Joe, Please take care of Kyle!

On January 26, 2005, my nephew, Cpl. Kyle J. Grimes died in Super Stallion Helicopter crash about 200 miles west of Baghdad in a war similiar to Vietnam, where American Marines are dying in a strange and different land. My nephew was not much older than Joe and not much different from my friend from Germantown.

Joe, please take care of Kyle now that you are both together. I pray that our friendship will keep Kyle in your light.

Do not stand at my grave and weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

Mary Frye – 1932
