The Neighbor I never knew
We lived next door to the Chasons in Kiamensi Gardens. I was in elementary school when Ted died
I don't remember him but I found his name on the wall years later and I felt a connection and silently thanked him for his service.

Remembering your sacrifice
Dear Ted and family, I was 10 years old when you were killed in Vietnam.
My parents who knew your parents from St. John The Beloved Catholic Church were very sad and tearful about your loss. As a ten year old I understood what a tragedy this was for everyone especially your parents. This left a profound impact on me. I chose to serve in the Army Nurse Corps many years later. Thank you for your service and your sacrifice for our country in a war that should not have been where 55,000+ Americans lost their lives.
