do not stand at my grave and weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

My Cousin My Brother In Arms

I never had a chance to meet my cousin because I was a baby when he passed. My Aunt Jane had pictures of him in uniform on her wall and she talked about him. Wish I could have met him so he and I could have posed in our dress blues together. Semper Fi cousin. Hold it down until I get there.

My Big Brother /Cousin,

I remember my Cousin/ Big Brother Clinton "Jack". He was a special person to me, I have 7 younger brothers and Clinton was to me my Big Brother. I think about the time in Mississippi we spent fishing working in the field and the barn at his Dad farm. Clinton was a gentle giant of a Man. I had the blessing of meeting and coaching with Coach Ricky Taylor from Jackson State Football Teammate. We talked about and shared stories of my Big Brother "Clinton" as a member of the Tigers JSU Football Team. The great walter Payton, Ricky Taylor and the other Jackson State Uni. Football Teammates. He never got to tell me but Thanks to Ricky Taylor for sharing some of his College Life with me. No one ever knew how bad my heart was hurting by the death of My Big Brother - Cousin Jack. Rest Well! Your Little Brother/ Cousin "Bo" Glover L. Smiley, Jr

The Smiley Family

I remember the day my mom received the horrible news from her sister, your mom Mary Jane Chapman that you were KIA. As a 25 year Air Force combat veteran (1977 to 2002) I carried your sacrifice with me on every flight, especially during Operation Desert Storm. Your sacrifice, and the service of all of family members earned us a place at the table. Always remember
