Boot Camp platoon 288, Parris Island, June 1967
Gone but not forgotten. Life was so short for so many who went to Vietnam. Most of us young studs felt we were invincible and would live forever. We were blessed that we only lost six guys from 288. Sadly, you were one of those six. I have visited your gravesite a few times. I cleared all the poison ivy away the last time I visited. I am pretty sure that you don't have family in the area anymore, so I asked the local VFW to make sure your grave is properly maintained. I fondly think of you guys often and you are always in my prayers. Semper Fi my friend. Pete
