You Are Not Forgotten
I was the crew chief of gunship tail number 044. It was my airplane and crew that went down that night so many years ago. I think often of my crew. You are all in my prayers.

The Bracelet
When they offered bracelets of servicemen missing in Vietnam, I sent for two of them for my kids to wear, which they did faithfully for a long time. In fact my son's, which was for Richard Castillo of Corpus Christi Texas, was so worn it broke in half! Somehow over the years it got misplaced, but we always remember his name. Not too many years ago his remains were found and we saw that in the paper and kept the article. I remember writing to the family at the time we got the bracelets, but never got a reply. In the mid l980's the traveling wall was in Valley City ND, so we took photos of his name on the panel and sent it to our son. We had filled out a form for a rubbing, but it never came. It would be wonderful to know more about him and have a photo, as my son likes historical data.
