A Brother in flesh, a Brother in spirit
When my brother's body and personal things were returned to us I remember finding a copy of the New Testament that belonged to him. I didn't think too much of it at the time but years later I became saved. With salvation came a great faith that the Word of God (The Bible) was able to bring life to someone that was dead. In John 11, verse 25 the Bible says: "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life; he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live." The Bible gave me hope, faith and love that I didn't understand fully before. I have a great hope that if my brother Hugo believed that JESUS could save him, I will see my brother again. Jesus said in John 3, verse 7 "Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again." Amen

Remembering An American Hero
Dear PFC Hugo Carlos Castaneda, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, Sir
Curt Carter
