POW bracelet

I wore your POW bracelet for years, I even wore it in my high school graduation photos. On a business trip to Washington I found your name on the Veterans Memorial wall. Eventually I took the bracelet off and mailed it back to the government agency that issued the bracelets and asked them to please return it to his family, I hope it made it to them.

In memory of this Guttenberg resident

I brought my kids to the wall-and saw his name there 15 years ago-he is the only person I knew who died in that war, he lived up the street from me and my family in the Projects(Public housing) as they were called on the 4th floor on Broadway &69th Street, I was just 10 year old kid but remember the stir in the neighborhood and community when he was killed, reported that he served as a Navy Corpsman/Medic-don't know if that's accurate. My mother wouldn't let me play "Army" with the other neighborhood kids after that, luckily the draft ended while I was in High school, anyway RIP R. Casey!
