THE WALL OF FACES

I was one of probably many who wore an MIA bracelet bearing the inscription: "Lt.Col. Donald Casey, 6-23-68". I have kept the bracelet all these years since the end of the war because I could not bear the thought of just throwing it out - to do that would have been the ultimate sign of disrespect. Today I attended an "Antiques and Collectibles" show, where I found someone selling two MIA bracelets. I found this quite disturbing. Remembering that I still had in a drawer the bracelet I wore, and realizing that through the use of the internet I might finally be able to learn the fate of the man whose name it bore, I began my search. I was, of course. hoping for my search to be a fruiless one, but this was not the case. I shall now return my bracelet to its soft pouch in my drawer. I will look at it seldom, but I will always know that it is there.
