do not stand at my grave and weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

Thank You

Dear James,
My class and I just got back from DC, where we were able to go see the Vietnam War Memorial. I can’t imagine the bravery it took to go into war and serve our country the way you did. Your service will always be remembered.
I’ve read a lot of remembrances about you and I know there are a lot of people that love and miss you and won’t ever forget you. Thank you for your dedication to our country.

I served with Jim in Vietnam,infact we took basic training together Dec.1965.we then left for Vietnam in September of 1966 to go to pleiku
he took my place as point man when I left to come home ,three days later he died.I feel like it was my fault that he died because I wasn't there to help him. my parent took care of his baby when he went on R&R and my mom was so happy to do that for him.Rest in peace my friend,Aloha
