New Grave Marker

A veteran's org found his grave unkempt and got him a new very nice marker. 2019. Air Force Veteran, Okinawa, 67th TFS, 1966. Then I came home, grew up and saw what I missed because a HS friend told me to join with him, 'You like planes'. Was the Veteran's Outreach Adviser for SCC in Scottsdale, 1972/3. I've been angry ever since. When I meet a combat Vietnam Vet, I apologize for us sending him there.

You are remembered and honored

I am honored to have found Gregory's photo for the Wall of Faces here in the 1968 Dillard High School yearbook. While in Ft.Lauderdale, I also visited his grave at Sunset Memorial Gardens, only to learn that his grave is unmarked yet lies near his mother's grave. I am especially proud of the Vietnam veterans who immediately took action to file the documents needed to have the marker made and installed. Rest in peace, Gregory...you are not forgotten.

THANKS

Dear PFC Gregory Carter,
I hope your photo is put here because this wall of faces is missing yours. Thanks for being a Rifleman. Tomorrow is your 48th anniversary, sigh. Tomorrow is actually Columbus Day, and we remember those of you who served. It is important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.
