honoring you...
Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. You were born four days before me. I am now 72 and have lived a long and fulfilling life. It is tragic you never had that same opportunity. May you rest in eternal peace.

We were next door neighbors
Dear John, thank you gor your altimite sacrafice during your time of service. I so remember you as a little girl when we lived next door. Your family was so very sad at your passing. Even though I was just shy of being 9, I remember the hugh impact your death had on all of our neighborhood. Lots of tears were shed. Our mom's cried together. Please know that I have never forgotten you. Much love to you and you family. Laura

Remembering An American Hero
Dear SP4 John Edward Carlson, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, Sir
Curt Carter
