Sparky

Sparky was a great guy with a great sense of humor. Always willing to help out and he kept morale high. Sparky and I were in a VIP aviation support unit in Bien Hoa flying UH1 support missions for the III Corp Generals. Our unit, "Red Carpet" had a few OH-6s and we and another guy, Al P, were able to transition into the "Loaches." After the transition we were re-assigned to the 3/17 Cavalry based at a place called Dian. (Zion) After many successful combat missions as Scout pilots in the Loach, Sparky had the opportunity to transition into the newly-fielded OH-58A. He was excited about flying the 58 and shared many stories with us about the OH-58 missions of his Troop. Thank you Sparky.
