I think of you alot
We grew up together, went to basic training together, talked about what might happen if we went to nam. I was lucky, went to Europe, as I get older I think about you more often. Sorry for the life you missed. You are a hero!

THANK YOU
Dear Cpl Kevin Cannon,
Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. It is another autumn, and time has passed since this war. It is important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Remembering An American Hero
Dear CPL Kevin George Cannon, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir
Curt Carter

For CPL.Kenneth George CANNON, USA...another of Pittsburgh's bravest of heroes, who gave his all!!!!
He loved us so.
Every day, in a hundred ways, he told us so.
In honesty, in affection, he told us so.
He loved us so.
Every day, in a hundred ways, he showed us so.
With loyalty and bravery, he showed us so.
He was our defender, and he kept us free!
He took an oath to guard us, and fought for liberty!
He loved us so, and we should know.
For we loved him so.
Corporal Cannon, your sacrifice was NOT in vain! Our country is still free and strong and the Stars and Stripes still flies over our land.
You have done brave deeds for our country, and bravery and courage were your middle names. You have given all that mortality can give! Your name and fame are the birthright of EVERY American citizen! You had been there and done that in defense of liberty and justice for all! I believe that Jill Corey, whom Avonmore (her home town) and Pittsburgh (where she got her start) can claim as one of their own, and whom I admire immensely as one of my three top favorite songbirds (along with England's Julie Andrews and England's Dusty Springfield) would be very proud of your service to our great land. Well done, Corporal! Be thou at peace.
