honoring you...
Thank yo for your service to our country so long ago sir. While all deaths in Vietnam are tragic that you died just six days before your 22nd birthday is especially so. May you rest in eternal peace....

Thanks
As mentioned in another post James is buried in Union Cemetery a rural cemetery just north of Murray Iowa. I grew up in that area and was 16 yrs old when James was killed, just a month apart from when another resident of this rural area Norman Bettis was killed in Nam. My Grandparents are buried in the small Union Cemetery. Although I now live several hundred miles from there whenever I'm back I make a point to stop by James grave and say Thanks. Although I didn't know James personally, I did know some of his family members. I believe at the time he was engaged to be married.

THANKS
Dear Ssgt James Camp,
Thanks for being an Infantryman. It bugs me that you were killed just before your birthday. sigh. As another summer comes to an end, it is important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.
