My Love and best Friend Andy A Cabrera (USMC)
My Sweet, sweet green eyes. I remember the day you drove up to my place if employment telling me you were joining the Marines, would I give you my address and phone number so you could write and call me. I was in heaven.! I loved you from afar for the previous 3 years, I was so very shy that every time you approached me, I made a fool of myself or ignored you. In our 9th Grade Citizenship Class, you made it a point to either sit in front of me or behind me so that you could lovingly tease me. I secretly loved this!! You once told me that if I hadn’t been so ‘stuck up’ we could have been the best of friends or even steadies a lot sooner! I didn’t mean to be stuck-up….I was extremely shy! We started writing, you’d call and we’d go out every time you came on leave. I thank God for the time he allowed me to spend with you. That precious time cannot and will not ever be replaced. It will remain in the most secret part of my heart. It doesn’t matter what anyone else may do or say. I love with the same passion I did then. May you Rest in Peace my lover!!

do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
