Family, James E. Byrd Jr.
James E. Byrd Jr. was my uncle. My mother is his sister. We have recently been talking about family and our great country. I have learned a little about my uncle (as she was very young when he passed) and feel that his light was extinguished to soon. I wish I could have met him. Stay safe and healthy to all. Thank you all for your service..

PLEASE POST A PHOTO
I agree with Lucy Conte Micik. Your photo should be on the Wall of Faces. A group of us from E Company 2nd 39th 9th Infantry Div have been trying for more than 2 years to find out something about you and to get at least a photo. You were only in country for a month before you made the ultimate sacrifice. You deserve a decent memorial.
