Ground Casualty

SP7 Alton D. Byrd was a ADPS (Automatic Data Processing Systems) Repairman serving with Headquarters & A Company, 704th Maintenance Battalion. On September 16, 1970, SP7 Byrd reported to the 8th Field Hospital in Binh Dinh Province, RVN, complaining of chest pains. He was admitted and later expired after suffering a fatal heart attack.
