THE WALL OF FACES

Pat, was one of five brothers who fought with valor to protect our country. He served as a proud Marine with multiple tours in Viet Nam. While serving in Okinawa, I spent a week with my brother while he trained and awaited orders to deploy to Viet Nam. That was the last time we expressed our love for one another. He adopted the saying "Live Free or Die". He was a true Patriot who loved his country.

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. The remembrance from Donita is touching. As long as you are remembered you will always be with us....

This is his boot camp photo from Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Platoon 2258. He earned the title “U.S. Marine” on January 24, 1967.

Dear Lcpl Candelario Bustos.
Thank you for your service as a Mortarman. I hate that you died so close to your birthday. sigh. As another summer comes to an end, it is important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Dear LCPL Candelario Patrick Bustos, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
