Thank You For Your Valiant Service Marine.

We can never truly repay the great debt we owe our fallen heroes. May those who served never be forgotten. I recall seeing your face on the cover of Life magazine when I was a boy in the 60's. Rest in peace LCPL. Bustamante, I salute your brave soul.
My heart goes out to you and your family. Semper Fidelis!

My Cousin

I have fond memories of you and I growing up together at mama and papa's place (grandparents). Getting into trouble together, like the time you and I jumped off the barn roof with mama's bed sheets. Because I was older, I got the whipping and you got the scolding, but we had fun at the time. I also remember the day you asked me what it was like to be a Marine and if you should join. I served with Arthur at the Rockpile

We were both in the 3/9 communications plt. at the "rockpile" in Quang Tri province. Along with our regular duties we often had to provide security for mine sweeping and convoy duty. Arthur was on convoy security duty when it was ambushed by the NVA. I was told the last time any one saw him, he was throwing grenades and running toward the enemy.
