An endearing recollection of 2LT Busby
He was a Tactical Officer in when I was an Officer Candidate at Ft Knox in the Summer of 1966. One day, he was detailed to supervise the Candidates who were on line for the mess hall. Each Candidate had to do 10 pull-ups in order to enter the mess hall. When I was on my 8th or 9th repetition, 2LT Busby shouted at me, "Candidate Nelson, It's a good thing you have a long neck!" With that, I fell to ground laughing, and had to begin my 10 pull-ups again.
