Ground Casualty

UT3 Roger C. Burnham was a Utilitiesman (3rd Class) serving with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion-12 (NMCB-12), 3rd Naval Construction Brigade, U.S. Naval Forces, Vietnam. On March 2, 1969, Burnham reportedly was swimming at China Beach Recreational Center, four miles northeast of Da Nang Airbase in Quang Nam Province, RVN, when he drowned. His body was recovered.
