We worked together at woodman lanes before you enlisted. Your death made a huge impact on me. I left for Vietnam 6/4/1970. I have never forgotten your sacrifice. You are memorized at the Vietnam Veterans memorial in Dayton, Ohio. You will not be forgotten.

honoring you...
Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. The remembrances from your brother Dennis are especially poignant and reflect the anguish experienced by so many families that lost loved ones in this war. May you rest in eternal peace.

THANK YOU
To Bruce Wayne Burkes,
My Grandpa was in the Vietnam War and he used to tell me and my little sister stories before he passed. I know that this was brutal and long, and it cost us a lot. I appreciate you an unlimited amount. I truly couldn't imagine what this war put you through, especially being so young as you. My hope for this country is that our American soldiers do not have to go through something like this every again. Thank you for your efforts and may you rest in peace, and I hope someday in Heaven I can thank you for the freedom you gave me.
