My cousin John P Burke

I was only 3 when you were kia, Your dad and my mom are siblings. I always thought of you and felt so proud of you. I was in Washington D.C and made a visit to the Vietnam veterans memorial wall and found your name, and paid my respects to all. In your photo, I definitely see the strong resemblance of your dad in you. Rest in peace my cousin.

Fellow Marine and classmate Jack Kennedy

John and I were classmates at St. Joseph’s. I was at boot camp at MCRD when I heard John was killed. I didn’t go to Vietnam until 1969 and was assigned to the 3rd Marine Division. I think of him and all the young men who never got to experience life or have a family. Semper Fi, John.
