It's Sunday Afternoon - Beginning of Tet

Well, it is Sunday afternoon and I am looking at the list of names of the men who died February 2nd. In 1968, 130 men died on this date. The Tet Offensive was up and running. A horrific time.

Some of the names looked familiar on the list, among them James Albert Bunn. He was a Currahee.

There were three other men who died with him that day: Spec 4 Guy Franklin Brooks, 19, of Pasco, Washington; Pfc Andrew James Daniel, 20, of Nyack, New York and 1st Sgt. Phillip Chassion, 34, of Fitchburg, Massachusetts. James, was 32 and from Miami, Florida. They died near Phan Thiet in Binh Thuan Province.

They will always be remembered.

God rest your souls, Currahees!
