Not Forgotten

I have not forgotten you. I chair the Adoption Committee for The National League of Families of Prisoners of War and Missing in Action in Southeast Asia. We will always remember the 1,889 Americans still unaccounted for in Southeast Asia and the thousands of others that lost their lives. We will not stop our efforts until all of you are home where you belong.

We need to reach the next generation so that they will carry on when our generation is no longer able. To do so, we are attempting to locate photographs of all the missing. If you are reading this remembrance and have a photo and/or memory of this missing American that you would like to share for our project, please contact me at:

Victor P. Buckley is my adopted POW/MIA. I have never met him but pray for Victor each day. May his family and friends have comfort knowing Victor is with God and he is always with them. I have honored Victor with a remembrance on the web... to not only show I care but also to enlighten others to the senseless heartache that still lingers decades after. Blessings to you.

The Search for Lt. Victor Buckley

My father the late Capt.A.G.Luskin USN 1929-1988 was the CO of USS Dennis J. Buckley DD-808 during the Vietnam war. On Dec.16th 1969 The USS Buckley was ordered to search for a pilot missing in a F-8U fighter. It was raining and the ship searched 3 days and nights . The pilot of the missing plane was Victor Buckley. This information was put out to all hands on the ship and everyone aboard took a special intrest in keeping a sharp eye out for Lt. Buckley. After the third unsuccessfull day of searching the ship was ordered back to the USS Constellation Group. My father visited the Vietnam Memorial and saw Lt. Buckleys name shortly before he died in 1988.
