Father's best friend

Mike Bryant joined the Marines with my father, Bob Fischrup on the buddy system. They got separated shortly thereafter. I heard many stories about Mr Bryant and not a day went by that my father didn't think about him.

Thank you for the ultimate sacrifice.

While watching the PBS series "Vietnam War", I am reminded about Michael Bryant by my sister, Linda. Michael lived a few houses from us on Pratt Ave. in Des Plaines. We all attended the same grammar and high schools. My sister attended Maine West High School with Michael, although Michael was two grades ahead of my sister. Thank you Michael for enlisting not long after graduating. You were courageous, brave and had pride in our country.
