Father's best friend

Mike Bryant joined the Marines with my father, Bob Fischrup on the buddy system. They got separated shortly thereafter. I heard many stories about Mr Bryant and not a day went by that my father didn't think about him.

Thank you for the ultimate sacrifice.

While watching the PBS series "Vietnam War", I am reminded about Michael Bryant by my sister, Linda. Michael lived a few houses from us on Pratt Ave. in Des Plaines. We all attended the same grammar and high schools. My sister attended Maine West High School with Michael, although Michael was two grades ahead of my sister. Thank you Michael for enlisting not long after graduating. You were courageous, brave and had pride in our country.

Thank You

Dear PFC Michael Bryant,
Thank you for your service as a Machine Gunner. You passed on the same day as my grandmother. Say hi to her, her name is Civ. It is important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.
