Corporal Melvin Gene Bryant, Served with the 1st Platoon, Company C, 1st Battalion, 52nd Infantry Regiment, 198th Infantry Brigade, Americal Division, United States Army Vietnam. His older brother (Emmett Joseph Bryant) also died in Vietnam.

Bronze Star Medal Award(s)

Corporal Melvin Gene Bryant was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, with Combat Distinguishing Device (V), for his exemplary gallantry in action. He was also awarded the Bronze Star Medal for Merit for his meritorious service. He served as an Infantryman and was assigned to C CO, 1ST BN, 52ND INFANTRY, 198TH INFANTRY BDE, AMERICAL DIV.
