Dear Spec 4 Glenn Brust,
Thank you for your service as an Armor Reconnaissance Specialist with the 1st Cavalry. Troy is north of where I live. It is important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

As a young girl, I was enamored by all the 'older' guys who used to shoot hoop in our neighborhood. Glenn was outgoing, always a smile, always a laugh. One evening while I was waiting to take the bus to a THS event, a car pulled up, the driver yelled out and asked if I wanted a ride. Absolutely!!! As I reached for the door I said, "Oh, Glenn, it's you!" He admonished me. "You did not know it was me! Don't you ever get close to a car when you don't know for certain who the driver is...do you realize how dangerous that can be?"
He gave me the ride but even more importantly, he gave me a life lesson which I never forgot. Thank you, Glenn. You will forever be in my thoughts and prayers.

Glen, I was too young to remember you, but you have always been a hero to our family. I'm sorry that I never had the gift of knowing you personally. But you have never been forgotten! RIP dear cousin and I hope you are now together with all of your family (immediate & extended) & friends that have also crossed to the other side now. Please continue to watch over us and keep us safe. Thank you.
