THE WALL OF FACES

I was to meet Michael at Love Field in Dallas, TX on 01/28/1968, we were to go to his parents home to announce our engagement (he wanted to wait until he came back from VN). When his letters stopped, I worried, when I didn't get his flight schedule for him returning to the states, I panicked !! I tracked his Father down via Base locator and spoke to him on the phone. Michael's Father had just returned from leave to bury Michael.....the news was so traumatic that I just started crying and hung up. I lost contact with his Father (whom I never got to meet), so have never had the closure of going to Michael's grave. Michael was a wonderful man, and almost daily I still think of him. I received a letter from the Company Clerk back then but my parents basement flooded and everything (including the letter) was thrown out. Hopefully there is someone that was in his Company / Platoon that can help give me some closure. Thanks !! Patti
