The greatest sacrifice!

I went to high school with Kenneth. We graduated in 1965. He was a great person was well liked. Thank you for your service and sacrifice, Kenneth. RIP brother. We also lost another school mate in Nam. Niel Wilkes. Niel was popular and well liked by all. Thank you for your service, Niel. RIP friend. You both are missed.

He died serving his country

Ken was an infantryman with the 2nd platoon of B co 2/39th 9th ID. I was his platoon leader. Ken gave his life on January 22, 1969 on an infantry ground mission south of Saigon that came under fire from enemy snipers. He was a good soldier and a great patriot.
We could not save Ken nor the platoon medic.
Thank you Ken for your service and ultimate sacrifice. I remember you every January 22.
