Charles Michael Carter

My husband, named above served with Mike. Before he passed we made a trip to visit his resting place. It was very hard on Mike but I think it gave him closure. Mike was also able to locate Richard Philbrick (deceased) sister. If any of you served with my Mike, I would like to hear from you.. my email is [email protected]

Served with him

SP/4 Mike Brown was killed with SSG Fike in a well executed VC ambush while he served at My-AN A-426 Special Forces Camp. I was the executive officer while the camp was being built in early 1967. I did the best I could to keep the team members alive and stop our very political team captain from making dumb mistakes, but after I left the captain sent small patrols into areas I would only sent companies in--and the results were disastrous.
