honoring you.....

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. The remembrances from Rebecca and your brother Michael McCrosson are poignant and reflect the challenges you faced growing up. May you rest in eternal peace.

In Memory of My Brother (updated from 1999)

ELYVIN BROWN was born on February 26, 1948. I was born December 5, 1949 Michael Brown. We were brothers. We were separated when I was adopted at age 5. Due to some medical reason he was not allowed to be adopted too. I was saddened when I learned that he had enlisted and was killed in Nam. He will always be in my memory. I am proud to be his brother. Thanks to the efforts of others he is imortalized on the wall as a casualty of war at Quang Tin Province in South Vietnam.

Thank You

Dear PFC Brown,
Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. It is another summer, as time continues to pass since Vietnam. It is important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels

Elyvin Brown

Elyvin and I went to the same high school. And being a small school we got to know each other pretty well. I remember him as a kind and loving person that didn't always get the best breaks in life.
We were all heartbroken when he was killed. Many of us who knew him still try to honor him whenever we can. There is a lamppost on Main Street that some of his classmates donated in his honor. Now he is on our veterans memorial wall here in town. I like to take flowers to his grave on Memorial Day and actually drive by often and always say hello. He will be forever in our hearts.
