I was there .....
On Thanksgiving Day, November 28th 1968 I helped recover the bodies from a Medivac that had been shot down. It took two days to locate them and on November 26th my company, Bravo 2/8 of the First Cav fought along side with the soldiers who died. November 28th is a date that 51 years later still burns in my heart. Only now do I even know some of the names of these men. I carried one of them in a body bag to the helicopter, but I never his name. It was an event that changed my life. May they RIP until Jesus comes again.
