Wore his bracelet for year
I wore LCDR Brooks bracelet for many years starting in the 1970. I broke in half during 1980 but I kept it. I still have it. I remember when your remains were recovered in 1982. I was happy to hear that and hoped that it gave your family some closure.

Lt. CMD Nicholas George Brooks Remembered
Today, January 2, 2025 I give thanks and pay tribute to Lt Nicholas Brooks on the 55th anniversary of his MIA. I am proudly wearing the MIA/POW bracelet my dad bought for me at Randolph AFB, TX. As a 15 yr old girl, I wore the bracelet for many years without taking it off. It was years later when the internet surfaced that I was able to research and find out about this brave young man who gave his life for us all during the Vietnam war. Thank you for your service Lt Brooks. You are not forgotten.

Just read about you!
I just read about you in a Susan Sheehan article in The New Yorker from 1986. Rest in Peace.

Remembrance Nicholas Brooks
I wore your bracelet as a child, and I still have it. It is displayed in my home. I have kept your story alive to my children.
“Thank you” seems so inadequate, but our country is forever grateful for yours, the ultimate sacrifice.
