Thank you

Larry was my second cousin, and we never met. But I heard many great stories about him when I was a kid.
Larry, thank you for your sacrifice..

My baby sitter...Larry Brooks

Larry babysat my brother, little sister and me 51 years ago. I was 8 years old and remember him well. He was soft spoken and a lot of fun to be around. He lived accross the street from us and his mom was always yelling about something. There were dozens of kids in the neighborhood and myself and my buddies looked up to Larry. He was of course a teenager and all grown up! I remember seeing him in his uniform one day and then I never saw him again. One morning a green four door sedan with two uniformed men came to the Brooks home. My mother and I were in the living room and then moments later we heard Mrs. Brooks scream over and over again. My mother looked down at me and started crying and so did I. I never forgot that moment. I'm glad I found this site and the picture of Larry. It's exactly how I remember him. God rest his soul...
