Ground Casualty

SGT John W. Brooks served with the 12th Combat Support Group, 12th Tactical Fighter Wing, 7th Air Force. On November 8, 1967, SGT Brooks died at the USAF hospital at Cam Ranh Bay Air Base in Khanh Hoa Province, RVN. An obituary attributes his death to “natural causes”; however, the Air Force coded his death as “Accidental self-destruction.” Brooks was 24 years-old. [Taken from coffeltdatabase.org]
