Surfing Buddy and Brother Vietnam Veteran

I was shocked to see that you had been killed in South Vietnam, Danny, I can remember surfing with you and your brother at Main Street, NSB, Florida. Like you, I went to Vietnam and was also in helicopters. I have been to Fort Rucker, Alabama, several times in the last few years and your name is listed on the Wall Of Honor at the Aviation Museum on post. I will be going to a 240th Assault Helicopter Reunion at Fort Rucker, this coming October 4th, 5th and 6th, 2002, and will visit the museum and take time to remember you and what you did for this country; paying the ultimate sacrifice! Rest in peace, my brother, and you will certainly never be forgotten!

Thanks.

I would like to offer my personal thanks to Danny for making the ultimate sacrifice. From our boyhood days of school and surfing, I have often thought of him and the life he missed, be it for better or for worse.

From a boyhood friend,
Ted Larrabee
